Glen Oak Country Club continues to invest in its long-term member experience through a series of thoughtful facility improvements, reinforcing its commitment to both performance and community. As part of a broader master planning effort, the club engaged Chipman Design Architecture to help shape its next phase of growth, beginning with the development of a new Sports Complex.
CDA collaborated with the club and project committee to define a facility that extends beyond traditional recreation, creating a more hospitality-driven environment that supports a wide range of member activities. The design balances flexibility with durability, using materials and a palette that feel timeless, approachable and well-suited for everyday use.
The new Sports Complex is carefully integrated into the existing campus, responding to both the architectural character of the clubhouse and the natural slope of the site. By leveraging the grade change, the design introduces a walkout lower level that opens to views of the course, while maintaining a strong visual connection to the surrounding landscape. Exterior materials and detailing were selected to align with the club’s existing identity, ensuring continuity across the property.
The facility supports year-round programming, creating new opportunities for gathering, recreation and engagement while establishing a clear foundation for future improvements across the Glen Oak campus.
